Fanon's Negrotude movement sought to counter the claims of colonial white supremacy. In simplified terms, it was a response to the inherent anti blackness of colonialism by asserting pan African blackness. Fanon is charting out and arguing for the necessity of a national culture which will require the jettisoning not of black solidarity but of the concept of a homogenized black culture in history.
