The Mining Tax
The mining tax, which the super profits tax, would have revolutionized this country. Australia has always been in a perfect position for renewable energies. The reason that idea does not exist to this day is advertising. It was really interesting. Robert Mann wrote about how the Australian changed on the mining tax. There was a deliberate campaign,. Rupert Murdoch at some point, or the powers that be seriously made a call. No one else from an environmental movement could compete with their money. And they basically just used advertising as a giant lobbying campaign.
