Should I Currency Hed My Investments?
Is it better to buy a fund that is currency hedged, or should i just leave it and not currency hedge? Why would you hedge something which is swamped by the equity volatility anyway? Shorttem treasuries, the volatility there could easily be like two %. So if you buy it as a sterling investor, a someone based in the u. K, all you'll see is the currency volatility of dollar versus sterling,. That's what's going to drive the value of that fund.
