Francesca's Poetic Credo

Francesca blames the book famously. She's blaming medieval romance for her adulterous relationship with her brother-in-law. But on a personal level, his own love poetry is engaging him in that way. He seems to be showing us a heroine of love and that many people in the past have read it. And they're leading to spiritual love, not a philosophical one.
