What Happened With the Weimar Hyper Inflation?
The weimar republic was a democracy, but it pursued really bad economic policies. These were caused in part by the bad situation that the republic found itself in at the end of world war one. A variety of factors caused so much pain that it made people desperate any one who could offer a solution. And that's when hitler appeared and took advantage of the situation. So the weimar republic is an example of how even a democracy can act so foolishly that it erodes the currency to the point that people are willing to embrace the totalitarian gime.
