Phages - Are They a Good Antibiotic?

Phages were just seen as being too complicated compared to an antibiotic. Doctors have to know what bacteria and indeed, sometimes, what strains of bacteria are actually causing an infection. Even if you take one bacteria like E. coli and E. coli that causes the problem in the urinary tract will be very different even from the bacteria that causes an infection elsewhere. So we're doing when we're searching for Phages is finding those ones that can target specific bacteria.
