Bromeliad - The Food of the Gods?
The bromeliad is a tree that grew up in the rain forests of southern mexico, central america and north America. The leaves are thick and waxy but also droopy so they don't go outwards flat. Their bark has these wardy growths on it which gives it this squarish pattern. And then their flowers pop out constantly from there - you get them everywhere.
