The Importance of Genre Fiction

There's a real preoccupation with popular modern narratives with dying and they very often open with this awareness you have to die to live right from the get-go in so many novels. If we want some escapism we typically will find it more readily in genre fiction though of course  the writer who provides my last example has written many an essay on what is genre fiction why do people use the label? I think personally that the next great novel will be in the genres that were once somewhat denigrated now, i read them voraciously still today. These stories frequently tell us so much more about us and who we are in a period of time in a moment of time collectively
