Is There a Minimum Distance in the Universe?

Quantum mechanics tells us that the universe is discreet, right? But introducing a minimum time scale or minimum length scale is tricky. We know from other great theory of the universe relative that things like distances and times are not universal. Having a minimum distance breaks special relativity in a really important way.
