The Sub Culture of Dungeons and Dragons

i've always wondered about the sub culture of people who play dandy caus when i was growing up. It always just seemed like a bunch of, you know, weird nerds gal who were out of touch with the rest of the world. But for me, the fundamental thing about role playing games is it's a highly imaginative, highly collaborative process where creativeity is taken absolutely as a given. The way that dungeons and dragons is played when you're 12 isn't necessarily the way that it's played when you are forty seven.
