Caffeine and Sleepiness

Dr. Huberman says, you shouldn't drink caffeine for two hours within the two hours of waking up because if you do, you're going to crash. A lower level of adenosine is able to create a higher level of sleepiness. I let my cortisol naturally come up in the morning and I find that when I delay my caffeine, I don't have the afternoon crash. Waiting optimizes its relationship between adenosine and wakefulness in a way that provides a nice constant arc of energy throughout the day.
