Can Literature Play a Role in Our World Today?

I think in many ways it's needed, right? So this sense of having, you know, literature as opening up different perspectives. It gives us this opportunity to see how structures of power and rhetoric and propaganda are created and how we can critique it. On the flip side, we might think that things have changed since the 1930s. There's an American writer called Alan First who also writes a lot of fiction at the set in Europe of the 30s. He once gave an interview where he said that he writes about the 1930s because this is an era of why there are still relationships between humans.
