The Disastrous State of Literary Fiction
I just love your novels. But I think literature's in kind of a state, that it's done itself a whole and has stopped speaking to people. And the idea that it's a private language where you only talk to other writers is kind of disastrous. It's kind of strange sometimes when you see an award-winning literary fiction and then you kind of go on Amazon and you see that it just didn't connect really with people, with readers. There is that big gap between the two worlds.
