Will We Join the War Between China and the United States?

The U.S. sat on the sidelines for years before joining World War II and Napoleon's Napoleonic Wars. If Ukraine or Taiwan want help under this kind of historical model, they'd have to be willing to fight for several years alone until we would consider sending troops. No American president can pull the country into a great power war without popular support. But what is clear is that war between China and the United States is the absolute worst case scenario - with no positives.
