The Importance of Time Horizons in Market Economics
I've never had a belief that one side or the other knows everything about the truth. In terms of market economics, compared to policy economics, I do think the time horizon is different. The macro markets move quickly and over short time horizons. That isn't so important in terms of policy thinking. Economists will always try to get the politicians to think longer term... at least over a five year view. So many of the content matters are the same, but with a different time horizon. They're my best friends. But I always say so far because you never know what's next in markets. Well, that's very, very wise and very sensible.
