African Slavery - An Argument by a Slave

Amo was a slave who argued against the legitimacy of slavery. He used jurisprudence and historical scholarship on Roman law to make his case. The report is so sketchy that we are in fact making an assumption when holding that Amo must have concluded that slavery is illegitimate.
