The Psychology of Automatic Writing
Psychologist Dan Wagner says automatic writing tells you a great deal about consciousness. He thinks that's how it all kind of works, driven by the brain. People are just writing stuff straight from their brain without feeling of free will. Can we ever fully prove or disprove that it's possible to communicate with the dead? No. There's been lots of attempts at people saying setting up a code with their partner and then saying when they pass away, they'll send that code. It's really difficult to know if there is a message from the dead versus they just happened to mention it to somebody and that got through.
