The Average Wait Time Is Equal to the Average Way by the Bed
Littles Law states that the average number of items in your system is equal to your average arrival rate multiplied by your average wait time. The companies basically said, look, that's cool and all, but we care about the departure rate. So they actually modified his formula. He said, okay, we can include departure rates only if there's five caveats that have to be true.
