The Rise and Fall of Salah in Yemen
In the late 90s, there was a movement in northern Yemen, the, that are known as the Houthis. They were speaking out against Sadeh's corruption and against Saudi Arabian influence in Yemen. And Salah also responded with violence to their, you know, what he was understanding as an insurrection or a threat to his rule. By 1994, the southerners decided to secede from the from the union. So this the moment they declared secession, saw that brought in his troops and ended up bombing them.
