In this episode, Mark Levin engages in a thought-provoking discussion with Yael Eckstein, the esteemed leader of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. As America celebrates the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, this episode delves into the profound historical ties that bind America and Israel. From the early days of the Pilgrims, who sought religious freedom, to the founding fathers who were deeply influenced by Jewish teachings, the episode highlights how Judeo-Christian values have shaped the very foundation of America. Yael points out that many of the Founding Fathers, including John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, were inspired by the Hebrew Bible, emphasizing the significant role that Jewish culture played in America's independence movement.
The conversation also touches upon the current state of affairs, where demonstrations against both America and Israel are becoming increasingly common. Yael shares her experiences witnessing these protests firsthand, noting how the values that unite both nations are often under attack. Despite this, she emphasizes the resilience of the Israeli people and the strength of their bond with America.
Moreover, the episode addresses the importance of education and historical literacy in understanding the relationship between these two nations. Yael argues that many young people today lack knowledge about the history of Israel and its connection to America, which is crucial for fostering a deeper appreciation of their shared values.
