The Consciousness of Perception
Buddhists don't think that any of those tiny irreducible things lasts for more than a moment, right? As I understand it. So if the view is that there's just a bundle of perceptions at every instant, then it's hard to see how all of these can form a unified sort of field of consciousness. That's another argument that you do see. And there's been like centuries of debate about whether you can explain these things without a persisting self.
