Roxanne Jones: There's this kind of way in which, especially for Asian Americans, there's this model minority myths that become the one positive story. She says we cling on to these things and think, you know, if I am quiet and hardworking in studios and don't make any trouble, then people will love me because I'll fit into this thing that is positive,. But that too is its own kind of trap because then you're not a person anymore. You're this kind of symbol of what a good Asian American is," she says.
