The Role of Eating Disorders in Suffering

I think a lot of the things that made me so good at, you know, whatever I did at school, at sports, at that athletics, that drive are a lot of things that also then can also lead to chaos and disorder inside your mind. And so it's been an interesting thing for me because sometimes I like to actually, and it seems counterintuitive, think my eating disorder, think my mental disorders because in a way they've enabled me to be a very high functioning person. But now through recovery, through treatment, I realized like I have more tools than the toolbox and I don't need the coping mechanism of the eating disorder anymore to be able to survive.
