What Are the Distinctions in Slaughterhouse?

In the original Constitution, there's a provision that says citizens of each state shall be entitled to all privileges and immunities of citizens in the several states. Professor Roosevelt: Two descents offer two different theories of what privileges or immunities might mean if you think it actually does something. The first which came from Justice Field was an anti-discrimination idea. He said founders realized that states might discriminate against out of staters.
