Kanban system can qualify to be a Kanban system if it has certain characteristics. Having the visual board towards the kennel it's on is not enough, he says. If people can take work in an uncontrolled way and put it whatever they want, "it's not a Kanbansystem" The policies on the board should be very easy to understand, according to Gartner CEO John Defterios.
