Bonds Outperform Bonds in a Higher Inflation World
investment grade yields are now above 5%. And I actually just tweeted something out today that showed the earnings yield on the S&P. Now it's been a long time since I.G. yields were above S&P earnings yield. But really since 2002, you've had stocks look more attractive than bonds. The issue comes in is if you think inflation is going to stay a little bit higher, but come down a little bit, I think at that point, bonds might outperform for a short period of time.
