Rik: I don't know if people realize how fast that behaviour can escalate. In a shooting, there's no novelty of,. you know, especially if you have any faith in your life, you know, the lasting you want to do is take some one's life. Rik says he has had cases where officers are pursued for an hour through small town and they end up evading or being tasered. He believes police should be able to retreat from situations like this without risking their own lives.
