The Importance of Being Authentic
I dated girls in high school but knew just to like I'd be kissing them and whatnot. So it really wasn't until college that I fell in love with a senior who was completely the antithesis of what my idea of a gay person was. And he actually became my first lover later. James Devlin and I are the same or maybe a couple years older than him, but like the character. But I know so many people who didn't feel comfortable coming out in high school and not just similar from James from Rachel felt like they needed to leave in order to be their authentic self.
