Watchmen - Is Dr Manhattan the Bomb?

The atomic bomb unlocked a whole new perception of reality and the world. It froze us in time but it created this paradox of power that we have been grappling with ever since. In Watchmen, omniscience is a curse that will separate you from the people around you. And I think reading Watchmen immediately after All Star Superman was such a gift because I would have been left with this conundrum.
