Wix is using platform engineering to codify a lot of the concerns that developers have in their day to day life. We looked at the amount of code that developers have to write and by analyzing them, we saw that 80% of the lines of code are basically wiring stuff or configuring things. So what we did is we codified it into a very robust framework or platform. And we build a serverless cloud, our own serverless infrastructure. It took us like three weeks for a new microservices cluster to be built. That doesn't happen every single week but you can gain huge velocity with this approach.
