The Unforced Error of the Mormons Baptizing Holocaust Victims
There have been attempts to mormonize both Charles Manson and Steven Patek. Both of those people were roundly rejected by church leaders because their spirits were deemed quote, not ready. What really pissed people off was when the Mormons posthumously baptized hundreds of thousands of Holocaust victims in the 90s. However, the church defended the move saying the ritual only gave spirits the choice to be Mormons.
