You are setting up a generation of young men and women to not experience the fullness of God in the gospel if you tell them to give up. Salvation cannot be earned by your works. You cannot impress God by how hard you work. It is not enough. But as Dallas Willis said it profoundly that grace is not as grace is opposed to earning. The first institution given to man was farming, not marriage. Wasn't worship services. wasn't even prayer.
