i had a bad day at work, and instead of just taking a walk or going for a serf i started getting my co workers on the phonen ding. It takes time to build up trusts with your colleagues - you can easily avrode that trust by being difficult. I try to remember if i do have a destructive day, the person it hurts the most is me. And so even if i feel entitled to be angry at some one, or to take my emotion out on some one like that's really just going to reflect more negatively on me.
Everyone has bad days. You may be tired, stressed, or dealing with a difficult time. That's human. But if you want to succeed in the workplace, a meta-skill is ensuring that these bad days don't snowball into destructive days. While you can shake off a bad day, a destructive day can have lasting damage and is totally avoidable.
