The Benefits of ECMO for Hyperkalemia

The other big thing is the hyperkalemia. You want to alkalize them as much as possible because when they get acidotic, the potassium is going to come outside the cell. So there's a lot of things that you got to do kind of roll fast. ECMO? I've never thought about that. Trying to think if we've had somebody at our facility that was put on ECMO for- I think they were transferred for it, but never had to go on it.
