The Manuscript Tradition and the Life of Moslem Communities
I consider the manuscript tradition and the life of islamic communities to be part of the broad story of human beings. I also have come to understand, particularly in places like the middle east, in ethiopia, where christians and moslems live side by side. Manuscripts contain a sort of recorded episodes of that dialogue or argument. And so how can you am to be preserving the intellectual culture of a place without trying to do it in the fullest manner possible?
