The Cult of Saints in Ancient Judaism
Gavin says in best and worst his video at the 805 mark cultic uses of images that's the target. That means bowing down prostrating before and over praying through the image to the prototype. I just don't think it's a good definition of what it means to cultically use something. So once again as I say here were icons part of saint veneration slash the cult of the saints from the beginning if so then there was always a cultic use of images.
