Emy: Even though people might break that law on a daily basis, they're still being influenced by it. When we think about slavery in particular, and how the law developed around that, you know, when we think about how the law sort of helped slavery sort of develop and grow. There is a reason that people start to think about andn do you know, just one case o people of african descent as property? What does that mean for how these people are thought about an society at large? Emy i think that's a really important point when thinking about a how the law influences the way people think.
