The material conditions of most black women would hardly lead them to upset both economic and sexual arrangements as seem to represent some stability in their life. Many black women have a good understanding of both sexism and racism, but because of the everyday constrictions of their lives cannot risk struggling against them both. Here they're saying, well, black women are forced to accept some patriarchy so they can have stability. It's all a Marxist plot. If you destabilize a community, people will be more likely to be able to pull off a revolution. This has been Marxist strategy 101 since 1900, like way back when.
