The Pandemic in Canada's Supply Chains
Keeping our supply chains clear and healthy is a major preoccupation of the federal government. It remains practically impossible to load Canadian grain onto ships in Vancouver's perennial rain. A strike recently shut down the critical ports of Vancouver and Prince Rupert for nearly two weeks, clearing the resulting backlog could take months. The pandemic may feel like it's over, but its effect lingers, particularly in Asia. Whether we should onshore them is an even better question.
