AI Systems and the Individual Intelligence Model
My best guess is that AI systems easily do better than humans on extracting information from humanity's stockpile and on coordinating. On this account are probably in an even better position to compete with humans than one might think on the individual intelligence model. In that case, perhaps this misunderstanding makes little difference to the outcomes of the argument. However, it seems at least a bit more complicated. See the section, Intelligence may not be an overwhelming advantage for more discussion.
