Tolstoy and the Devil

Tolstoy was a very conflicted individual and indeed our psychological understanding has come a long way since his lifetime partly due to his writings the works of great writers like Tolstoy like Dostoevsky like Shakespeare. Today we would say that Tolstoy was suffering with some very serious mental health issues. The concept of being a self-made man is relatively new historically speaking when we compare the potentials today to not that far back. When do you draw the line when is more enough and how much land does a man need?
