The Importance of Representation in a Career
If you could send a word of encouragement or a message to today's fifth graders, what would it be? The first thing I would tell them is we need you. There's lots of challenges to solve in this world and there's things still to discover. We've excluded too many of those people for too long. And then I would say it's really rewarding. It's interesting. It can really engage you. For a career where you spend most of your waking hours, something that really engages you is a goal and you can actually make a living at it as well. Another big goal.
