Involuntary Commitment and Inmates

Eric Adams has been trying to get unhoused people who stay on the subways or on the street just like out of New York City. He's framing it as a way to help New Yorkers feel safe, especially because there have been some cases of people getting thrown onto subway tracks. A lot of times when people get taken to an institution they just end up in a black hole,. And they don't, people lose track of them, especially if they don't have family members.
