Free fire was designed as mobile first, whilst the majority of other battle royals on mobile were originally designed for consul and then ported. The game has been able to succeed in regions that were under served by the other battle royal games. It's also doing surprisingly well on android in the us, too, where it makes quite a bit of money. Free fire came out in late two thousand 17, i believe, which is the same time that like battle royal and general was starting to take off.
