Beethoven repeats both the a and b sections in total one more time. In the repeat of the a section, beethoven changes the dynamics so everything is soft instead of loud. It's a brilliant little joke that captures the character of this movement so well. We've heard the a section now three times and the b section two times. He acts as if we 're going to enter a third iteration of the bee section, but instead,. the movement is unceremoniously cut short by repeated nasty chords. And what a movement it is.
