What Happens When Your Story Comes to an End?

Abraham's life is a sequence of upward moving what would you call them it's like sizzifus. Each time Abraham climbs up the mountain he gets a little higher on the mountain and so his adventures are punctuated by periods of contemplation and sacrifice. When your story comes to an end when you've achieved what it is that you want to achieve or perhaps in terribly dire straits then the next question is okay well now I'm that person or I have that character what do I need to do next?
