The Sound of Silence: A Trilogy of Works About a Single Image

I wanted to look a bit more at photojournalism and your particular use of photojournalistic images in your work. There's that particular body of work, one where you used Kevin Carter's image in Sound of Silence and another where you used cone-wessings work in shadows. Why did you want to do that and tell me about your subjective response to the images as well as a response to the fact that they have this kind of extraordinary iconic presence in the history of that particular discipline? I have a profound admiration for photojournalist. Men and women that leave everything behind and they go to these places where nobody else would like to go but there are so many amazing photos out there
