i've met with two minors, two crypto currency miners in my life. One was in china and one was in america. Can one of you explain how merged mining works? There's a technology called auxiliary proof of work or ox pow. The whole industry is that it is about maximal profit maximisation. It's not like gold, where you're maybe mining it and then using it for something else. This is strictly a profit play - if there's no profit, they're not going to do it any more.
