In some ways, if you think about spiritual bipa as taking something out of context and misapplying it, i think it's a helpful way to put it. So there are sort of verses or phrases or theological concepts that are often used too spiritually by pass but then there is also stuff within the tradition that pushes back on that. You mentioned lent ash wednesday. I would add good friday in there as well. And all the theological work that's been done over the years about how essentially we are living during holy saturday,. The time between good friday and easter sunday has become where we live.
