Aunt Lily owned her own store on Main Street in American Fork for over 50 years. She was born in the 1800s, at a time when women were not owning their own stores. Part of it was that there were 90% girls' clothes in the store and maybe 10% boys' clothes. But she also just sort of gave off the vibe that men were, they were not really to come first in life.
